One year ago, I started my first day at Sanford. It’s been a whirlwind. There have been changes, but one thing is consistent – I really enjoy what I do! I’m honestly not saything that because I’m going to post a link to this on my Facebook page and I’m friends with some co-workers… for realzies. I work with great people, I’m somehow bubbled from most craziness, and get to write, edit, and use some interwebs.
For those of you who may not know and are interested in knowing what I do, I’m the Internal Communications Strategist for the Fargo region. Basically, I communicate (as Sanford) to employees through a variety of channels: intranet, email newsletters, regular emails, newsletters, and sometimes video, posters, etc. It’s pretty sweet. Since we have 26,000 employees (9,600 or so of them in Fargo), there’s a lot going on and a lot to communicate.
In lieu of a well written post, here is a bunch of stuff that describes the past year at Sanford:
Cool kids club, buzzwords, culture club, volunteering, 4:01s, brown couches, phase 1 intranet, weekly update, awesome surprise bridal shower, #sanfordfamily, my very own hard hat, oh… and work.
It took a lot to get to where I am now (including a lot of people along the way – thanks!) and I’m pretty proud. Here’s to year two!
