merry-christmas

In review…

The beginning of 2016 was the calm before the storm. Winter was cold and it was a great excuse to stay inside. Once we thawed, the season of weddings began. In total, we celebrated 10 weddings in three states (North Dakota, Minnesota, and Illinois). It was intense, busy, but lots of fun!

Mike’s brother, Matt, married Alyssa and we are so happy for them! Mike’s spring was full of anxiety planning the bachelor party in the Cities and writing his speech (husband brag: he did a great job! It was hilarious). Mike’s sister, Sarah, and Keisha moved back to Minnesota and, although we haven’t taken advantage of the short distance yet, we look forward to spending more time with them. In between weddings, we started a new tradition with friends from college and booked a cabin for a weekend. We’re looking forward to many more summers at the lake.

We enjoyed hosting family and friends throughout the year. My mom, dad and Eme, Graham and Allyson, and college friends: Candice, Katie B, Kyle, and Kris all stayed in our ‘lower-level hotel’. It was so nice to have quality time together. I also hosted a baby shower for Kirsten, a college/adulthood friend, which was a lot of fun.

What we do all day…

Last year was the year full of new things for our family: selling the house, buying a new one, and Mike’s new job. So we are happy to announce no major life changes this year☺. Mike still enjoys working at Meridian Property Management as the Maintenance Manager and I’m celebrating three years at Sanford in the Marketing department.

What’s next?

This year we’re looking forward to the opening of the new Sanford Medical Center Fargo in the summer, more weddings already booked, and maybe some marathons (the Netflix kind).

To wrap it up this year, here are some words of wisdom from Phil Dunphy (from Modern Family), “Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration, and 2% attention to detail.”

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful year ahead!

With love, from our family to yours,

christmas-2016
